Here is a little bit about me and my blog.
I started it for me and my cousin. It helps us share and keep track of all the things that we learn about and the things that motivate us.
I started it because I had struggled to find good sources of advice for women on fitness when I was younger and through out college. My cousin and I were talking one day about how we wish we could be gym buddies and share recipes and food but we live hours apart. So I started this blog to share all the information we stumble upon in one place we both could reference. The name? Well I was running to the song "New Bugatti" when I found my self changing the lyrics and singing "I woke up in a new fit body." Silly, but it stuck!
No more believing that weight training is going to make us bulky. No more trying to out-exercise all the bad calories we eat in junk food all day. No more crash dieting and trendy workout products promising results with no effort. This blog is not for those things. It's here as a source of motivation and information to change our lives the right way.
We are not perfect. We are not fitness gurus, buffs, or professionals. We have skip gym days on our quest to make a regular gym schedule part of our lives. We cheat too many times a week sometimes with our cheat meals. We still see diet pills on shows promising results and think "damn should I try that." But we are trying. Constantly working. And constantly improving. And that's what this is about.
